We have gotten such incredible feedback from everyone on this new neutral space, more feedback then ever before and you all want the details. Well this post is for you, I have linked where to shop for all the goodies in the room in the SHOP THE LOOK portion.
Here is a quick reminder of what the room looked like for before & before & before…

Here is the room now….
The most significant change was going from a dark to light in both the wall color and furniture. Which is exactly why I went with our Sloan sectional from Interior Define. This new sofa from Interior Define is Eh-Vree-Thang you guys. The exact one we got is the: Sloan 97″ corner sectional in Natural Heavy Cloth with rounded walnut tapered legs with the extra soft cushions. Oh my word, it is not only stunning but it is so dang comfortable, like OMG. The color is perfection. The fabric has a linen vibe to it, it’s textural and scrumptious. I say with conviction spring for the extra soft cushion, best decision ever!! Also definitely get the swatches to decide in advance on the perfect fabric. The options Interior Define has for fabric are endless and they are all so good in person. I personally switched from a pebble weave to a heavy cloth once I saw the swatches in person so make sure you take the time to do the swatches beforehand. Worth it!

This Sloan sectional sofa by Interior Define is a perfect blend of classic and clean lines. Modern without being cold and traditional without being stuffy. We love the wide arm rests and the loose cushions. Both loose back and seat cushions are a must for us so we can rotate and fluff them often; also, thus far, the light cream color of the fabric has held up very well to our 2 kiddos and spot cleans nicely. We love spending our time here playing games and watching movies. Love our interior Define sofa so much.

Next huge difference came in the form of the Eclectic Goods open arm Ava side chairs. These chairs are not only total show stoppers they are immensely comfortable. I mean sink in, read a book, watch a long movie, binge Netflix comfortable. How they are equal parts chic and cozy I don’t know, but they are and they have my heart. The open arms keep them from feeling overwhelmingly large and the deep seat and sinkable cushions make for the most ideal blend of comfort and style. Love this Eclectic Goods find.
The room is anchored by the DIY fireplace, mantle and TV which is flanked by our ever popular CB2 Helix shelving. I wrote a post on styling these shelves HERE if you’re interested in checking that out. The key to keeping these shelves interesting without over powering the room with a look of clutter is a minimal color palette.
Another show stopping element is the Jacob coffee table by Arteriors from All Modern. It is by far without question the most popular coffee table I have ever brought in to Kismet House. I get more requests for the link to this coffee table over any other coffee table we’ve owned. Unfortunately this coffee table carries a hefty price tag, but fortunately I have found a copy cat that is almost identical, just has a much lighter stain color. That copy cat coffee table is linked HERE.
The round mirror behind the sofa is from Modern Komfort and perfectly reflects both the room and the large window across from it. Bringing the green from the trees outside in. The oversized jute wall hanging from The Dharma Door USA above the mirror draws the eye up, emphasizing the height of our ceilings.
The picture ledge was a DIY and you can read all about that/learn how-to recreate it HERE. The pictures on the ledge are all sourced from The Poster Club and the frames came from both Aaron Brothers and Target. We love the statement this ledge and the artwork make. Mature and tailored but still fun and cool; very pleased with the end result of this project.

Now for the lighting details. The flush mounts and the sconces on the fireplace wall are from Modern Komfort. I wanted a very simple sleek flush mount so not to compete with the shelves, but still wanted to make a statement. The pairing of these Black Snare Flush Mounts and Bistro Wall Sconces from Modern Komfort are perfection and gave me the exact look I wanted. The double wall scone that highlights the artwork on the ledge is from Rejuvenation. Another statement light we love! We paid a lot of attention to detail in this room with the lighting and it made all the difference.

Like I said we are in love with the outcome of this neutral space and we can’t imagine changing it out anytime soon. I may eat those words because I am always mixing it up, but for now we are very happy.
